It has been a long time, but that does not mean nothing has been happening. In fact, I have been working steadily on the car. At this point, I am close to having the frame finished, with quite a few details settled.
Here is how things looked last week. The car is up on a rotisserie. The next steps are to add radiator supports, tabs, and the side panels. After that, I will bring the body to be blasted. Then I will paint with an epoxy primer. During this winter, my hope is to have the engine rebuilt (either I will have Jesse Prather do this, or I will do it with his guidance), the transmission rebuilt, and the differential rebuilt (changing to limited slip). While that is going on, I will be working on wiring, brake lines, fuel lines, etc.

This is the best rotisserie and body attachment system I have made. I made my first rotisserie when rebuilding my MGB. It was made of wood and worked, but was kind of awkward. My second rotisserie was for this car. Again, it worked, but was a bit awkward in how it attached to the frame. This third rotisserie is to allow me access to add the side panels. You can see how the arms attach to the frame. There are tabs welded to the frame and to the arms that bolt together.

Right now I am waiting on the rubber grommets that support the radiator. Once I have those, I can build the radiator mounts. I took the car off front rotisserie support so that I had room to fit the nose cone. The radiator is the one recommended by Keith Tanner at his recent posts on his Cheap Sports Car website. I bought it from Redline360 and it is the CSF Half Radiator Mitsubishi Lancer EVO with a 12″ SPAL Fan. It is beautifully made.

That everything for now, I will add some posts about work I did to get here.
